The outfits Rogue wore in this era of the comics were always my favourite, I'll always be more nostalgic for this style over the Jim Lee yellow and green bodysuit. (But my favourite version of this is where she added a tiny thong bikini bottom too )

I consistently like your version of Rogue better than the comics one!

Tangential but related musing: Rogue had already been a member of the team for a while when I first started reading X-Men so I just accepted her like any other member of the team, but I went back and read a lot of back issues, and it occurs to me that she must have been such a confusing character for anyone who ONLY read the X-Men's book. She first appears in the Avengers as a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, then pops up for one X-Men issue (maybe two - it might have been a two parter, but it was only one mission for the team) where she's more of a Carol Danvers villain than anything else, then she's off to hassle Dazzler until deciding to reform. If you only read X-Men, when she joined the team she'd be this person they'd only met once but hated because they assured you she'd done something awful (that none of the actual X-Men were present for). And this was long before the internet and Wikipedia. I wonder how many little kids were all "who IS this person!?"

I remember this being her first outfit when she was introduced in the X-men comics when she was part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Then she had that punk style hair do instead of the fuller hair look she got when she joined the X-men and changed outfits.
I like the black, shiny look this outfit has almost like skin and how you gave her the green, skimpy top to give her the under boob look (which is a nice one) instead of the full shirt look.
Nice job with her abs and the green accessories like the gloves, boots, and X belt buckle.
I love the longer hair style like this and sometimes the straight hair look is the best. Nice work giving her longer white-colored bangs instead of just a little bit. Nicely done with her green eyes, too.
Love the fuller lips and softness they have as well as the light blush she has in her cheeks and soft skin texturing.
Very beautifully coloring in her reddish hair tone and nice job with her athletic build, too.

Oh, you must have started around the time I was reading them in the late 80es. That was a great time to be reading Marvel books. And I must admit a real fondness for this outfit, as well as a wish it'd stayed around longer. Marc Silvestri used to draw the heck out of it.
Anyway, Thanks for revisiting it and delivering such a magnificent take on it. She looks damn perfect here!
