I did this originally for 's contest. The theme was "A New Journey" and this is what I came up with (after SEVERAL drafts and ideas were thrown out there). I'm feeling pretty good with how it turned out. I got tired of working on it in the end, but I guess that's probably how everyone feels. =]

This piece is (obviously) about a mermaid that is reaching out out of of curiosity, and little does she know, it may lead her on her next big journey.
