oh yeah, its legal, but reptiles like gators and crocodiles are illegal here.
cant blame that law though, there was a local vet down here by the name "john doti" or it may be Don doti, one of the two, not really sure what his first name is.
he lost his license to be a vet about 10 years back or longer i think but the reason was really fucked up.
people who were taking their old pets to the vet to have them euthanized found that the pets werent exactly getting the best of a proper send off to their graves but instead being took and fed to johns crocs he was keeping in his basement.
after it was found out, the police took the crocs from john and stripped him of his license.
i remember i was young when it happened and the town was in a uproar.
being such a small town, you also hear alot of shit before it even gets put in the paper.

i know my step dad and his friend kenny was good drinking friends with john and i remember kenny talking about getting drunk at johns house once and stumbling off the bank into a caiman pond, scared him so bad he actually pissed himself.
jokes on him, caimans wont eat a man.

anyways, john became known as the crazy reptile man around here since all that happened and we all try to keep our furry companions away from him for good reasons.

That's so cruel! I mean, to me it's cruel to even euthanize an animal but feeding them to crocs is horrible. They'd be torn apart while still living and since animals are usually euthanized are old, sick or in lot's of pain, they'd have about 0 chance survival. I reckon it's good not to have crocs or gators as pets because if your angry or depressed you could get them to eat you or someone else or to dispose of a body if your a mad serial killer :3. And if you accidentally fell in and eaten the c would be killed and labelled "Man Eater" which is kind of unfair because it was just having a easy snack to munch on.
Can't Caiman at least take your finger off though?

yeah, i see nothing wrong with having a old friend euthanized if he/she is suffering from something that cant get any better, one being my leopard gecko, rino, i loved that little guy so much. he ended getting a stomach tumor that the vets couldnt do anything about, being too small and all.
eventually the tumor got so large that he couldnt use the bathroom, i had to have him euthanized, he was in too much pain.
 i believe euthanizing a pet in pain that had no chance to live happy is an act of kindness but on the other hand, i  dont think its right to put a pet down simply because its getting too old.
what ever the symptoms they may show, if they have even the slightest bit of happiness left in them to show, dont throw away their lives.

Neither. I had a cat who lived till 18 human years of age but the vets said he had to be put down because of two tumors in the back of his throat that would eventually suffocate him. We said no and took him back home with us and he seemed perfectly happy to us. Rubbing up against our legs while purring (I know purring isn’t always a signal of happiness), chasing after toys, rolling onto his back so we could pat his stomach, and climbing trees without problem except for getting down. He managed to live 2 ½ more years before dying of old age in the neighbour’s garden. 
A few months ago, we brought a possum who we found by the side of the road and brought him to the vet. They said because he was missing an eye and therefore couldn’t gather food for himself so he had to be euthanized. I said we’d take him in as part of the family but the vet said it’s illegal. I thought it was unfair because, yes, it would be in pain for a while but that’s worth living the rest of your life, and some rules have to be broken in order to save a life. Also, my friend has a possum in her garden that lost both it’s eyes to a cat and is living out a perfectly normal life.

vets are usually a load of crap when it comes to diagnosing an animal.
hell, i just recently watched a video about how hospital surgeons and doctors misdiagnose some one over 60% of the time, now imagine how many times a vet misdiagnoses an animal.
you have alot of pressure on you as a doctor but vets dont have to normally worry about dealing with human life so whats the big deal if they fuck up, at least thats how most vets see it.
not all of them are like this but my mother was married to a vet who specialized in horse and cows and hes a pretty big ass if i must say so myself.

as for possums, the vet has no right to keep it from you if you bring it in, you could always say your purchasing a license to own him and they have no choice but to give it back.
weve had a few possums around here, alot of baby ones, i think their cute but their bites are very dangerous which is why its usually illegal to keep them.
but any animal can live without its sight with ease, it just takes instincts and dedication

well, i think you do it amazingly! i love the whole comic's layout and how you gray scale it. then the color pages are beautiful too. they are things i always love to looks at. how do you do the colors? do you color it in, then scan it onto the computer or do you color it out on the computer? and also, i love the whole panel layout. I can never find the right exercise you could say. it gets on my nerves sometimes.

i usually draw out the scene first and then put a panel around it afterwords.
ive HIGHLY improved the style or grayscale and design since the first few chapters

Yeah, I was looking back over the older pages, and I have to say you have been improving, it seems. Not that it was bad at first, but you've been improving ^^ And that thing with the panels is a nice technique.. maybe I'll be able to draw the layout better using that way. Lol
