Description
Just right in time for the start of the new Game Of Thrones season I managed to finished up a fantasy related piece. Again a pic with some over the top detail but well... that's how it is.

That's not how copyright infringement works dude.
At the end of the day game of thrones isn't public domain. Therefore making a profit from somebody else work is either piracy or plagiarism.

So if I draw a dragon it's infringement? lol in that case GoT is infringing on Lord of the rings and countless other old stories. There is nothing about this that says game of thrones the creator even says this is a fantasy genre piece not game of thrones.

No, but if you draw a dragon and you claim it's a dragon from the "Game of Thrones" franchise and you sell it to make a profit then it is infringement. If you use the name of that franchise to sell your product without their permission then it is an infringement. I even gave you a link from deviant about copyright infringement and yet you ask me such obvious question? lol. Sorry pal but "I choose to bury my head in the sand" doesn't count as an excuse.

To a certain degree it can be. Especially when it starts to distract from things you want the viewer to see. From time to time I have problems balancing that out.

That lake sure looks inviting though, the colour of the water looks really nice (though imagine being sucked off the edge and falling down off the cliff

Absolutely stunning concept executed fantastically. The palace looks a little Naboo-ish but I can forgive that if it was more intended to be derivative of Byzantium Architecture.
