this one actually has no big story. it was created... just 'because'. if you know what i mean. pulsar dawn: [link] brought up a thought in me that told me to try a combination of apophysis and terragen. i tried it in pulsar dawn but there the apo stuff destroyed the lines and flow of the pic. here in astounding it works great. imagine to stand on top of that mountain in the lower right and you look at this gorgeous sunrise. wouldn't that be ASTOUNDING?
TECHN!CAL DETA!LS
well, business as usual. terragen for the basic render finished up in photoshop. for this project i introduce apophysis to my manip technique. it worked out pretty sexy and i think you people will like it.

update - 15th aug. 2005 - i made a little print update and cleared the file from minor visual faults. everyone who bought a print of this before the update would actually not see a difference. i'm just a bit too much '

Wow! That's amazing! But how did you get the terrain to be so exact and precise and smooth? Terragen's editor doesn't like me, I guess...

fantastic!!! only thing i think you could improve is the red-green contrast in the left part of the horizon. the right part is blended with fog nicely. anyway, really great and creative use of terragen!

Nice, I like the combination of colors, And the swirls have a change in emotion, combined with the water, which gives it a feeling of adventure. If ever possible, I would love to go there.

You did very well making the waves undulate in the forground, although the rest of the image (as far as the terrain goes) i dont really like. The sky turned out well.
anyhow good work
