Even if I always liked the original Tintin, I must say that I highly prefer Sakharine's look in the movie, he looks way more attractive

As much as I would have loved to have seen the Bird Brothers in the movie, Sakharine was a fun villain, especially with the whole heritage backstory.

Movie Sakharine was a little tricky to draw

The art-styles are different, so it's difficult for me to really compare them.
But I did think the movie version looked really good, he looked better than any other human characters.
The comic Sakharin doesn't, design-vise, have anything that would make him stand out among all the characters Herge created.

From all the characters, Movie Sakharine looked more accurate to "reality". Maybe that's why he was "redesigned". I'd have loved to see the movie more loyal to the original comics. There were a lot of funny scenes of the SotU comic, like the part where Haddock gets angry with the detectives because they thought he "murdered" Sakharine

Me too.
Although, if I want that, I can just go watch the animated series. Or read the comics.
I would have been okay with the plot of the movie if it wasn't in such a hurry to run around the place with a lot of chases and explosions without stopping for some actual plot or character development.
