I was challenged by to do this thing so here you have it.

The German Invasion of Denmark (9th of April 1940) was the fighting that followed the German Wehrmacht crossing the Danish border and was a part of the "Operation Weserübung", the invasion Campaign of Denmark and Norway (9 April - 14 June 1940) and was led by general Leonard Kaupisch (1878-1945). The main purpose of the invasion was to secure the iron shipping from Narvik and to extend the German air-defence system northwards, making it harder for British bombers to outflank the system from the north when attacking cities in Germany. The plans were to overrun the country as fast as possible with the Classic blitzkrieg tactics with tanks and airborne attacks. Even if the Danish army were forewarned about an oncoming attack it was denied permission to deploy or prepare defensive positions as the Danish government did not want to give the Germans any provocation for their actions, resulting only in minor skirmishes. All that was available to meet the land invasion were small and scattered units. The most intense battles took place in Haderslev. After just six hours of the invasion the Danish surrendered and the country was occupied, which would soon result in the arrest and deportation of the Jews of Denmark (some of which were rescued by Swedish independant help). On the Danish side 16 people died and on the German side about 203 were killed or wounded. The German occupation of Denmark would last untill 1945.

Also, the danish had some seriously weird uniforms. You have no idea how hard it was to recreate their helmets. They are like something out of Star Wars!
