This is not directed to any fandom in particular whatsoever, but a grouping more so.Every fandom has it's own little sub-culture that others in the same fandom hiss and mock at. Like for example, there are causal fans who write fanfics, artwork, funny comics, etc and then there are fans who draw Rule 34, sexfics, gorefics, etc in the same fandom.
And then you have the anti-fandom people who hate all the fans of said fandom cause of various reasons like "It's not for your age group!", "You're gay if you like that s**t!" and so on. And there some in the fandom who might say things not nice either to those who draw porn pics and gore of the series they like.
What I'm getting at is this:
If they like the series, let them.
If they enjoy something that isn't for their age, let them.
If they want to write fanfics of a series they like, whether it's regular/porn/gore/dark style fics, let them.
If they want to draw Rule 34 of the characters, let them.
Unless you own the series, characters, website, whatever, you have no say in the matter.
Just let the fans have their fun.
As it's been said for many, many years, "If you don't like it, don't look at it. No one is forcing you to."

I respectfully disagree with the rule 34 bit. In My opinion people should not be drawing Pornography of Cartoons especially if the Characters of said show are under 18 years of age which in most cases they are. These people aren't Fans true Fans hate these so called Artist. In my perfect world they would be arrested. In a real world they shouldn't be posting that kind of content online

It's honestly amuzing and fasinating how much people care about what people like. Who cares if someone likes, say "kiddy" things like Transformers, Nintendo, and others?
As long as they are not harming anyone with what they enjoy, I do not see the problem with them liking something.

Well, at least that is true. people can't make porn of your characters, so at least mine are safe.

I don't really get involved with fandoms anymore, but I used to and I agree. I wrote fanfiction for a time being and I can remember people calling other people "hack writers" for what pairings they shipped and whatnot. It was ridiculous. I may not like a certain pairing (or a certain premise, for that matter), but that doesn't mean other people can't write it. Just let fans do what they want, I say. So long as they're not up in your face, screaming at you for not liking what they like, they're fine.
