Prancing around on the beach on a sunny day. Having fun. Lalala.I just felt like combining two innocent Sonic characters with a dark and angsty one that is Shadow.
Inspiration music: "Pure Again" - Ending song of "Breath of Fire 3"

It's true. x.x; But I think it's just because Shadow can switch sides so easily.. -- moreover, the GUN Commander wants Shadow dead, despite the wishes of hte President. So GUN is somewhat always against you. Eggman's robots are just general hinderences...

Shadow might be angsty... but he's just as innocent as Cream and Tails, in a certain light. I've always imagined Shadow would have a soft spot for Cream though. She's too damn cute. Oo;

Okay, I'm not a big fan of sonic but I really gotta say I like this piece. It looks very crisp and clean not to mention the colors fit really well with the scene. They're light and airy and that works. I don't know if you're aspiring to be the next big name in manga art but I can see major improvement in your work every day. So, keep it up and there's no doubt in my mind you'll reach that goal. I on the other hand have a long way to go to learn how to do more detailed interactive pieces.

I just felt like combining two innocent Sonic characters with a dark and angsty one that is Shadow.
That's one of the reasons I love your art: you'd take someone populary drawn like Shadow or Amy, the more neglected like Mighty, Charmy & Cream, and put 'em together in one picture--or at least, unlikely combos like Tails & Shadow. 
Innocence: that sums it up too damn perfect.

I think Shadow deep down is trying to find himself, trying to find out what it means to be a child - so Cream and Tails dragging him out to the beach, while he seems to be protesting for the most part, is probably the one thing he enjoys, but doesn't let anyone know about.
I've noticed Cream's innocence the most in your recent pictures of her - you've taken her a step backwards from the "princess" act Sega instilled into her. She's more a child, happy-go-lucky and free rather than acting like a spoilt-brat/little princess. Tails looks permanently younger than ten in most of your works. To me, he's a difficult character to portray other than a young child. Most have tried and failed in retrospect - Sega keep saying Tails is *still* primarily the techno-fox, a sidekick. He could grow far beyond that with a better perspective, but I digress. Much as I despise the two-tailed one, he's very cute in this artwork
I love how you've made the shine in their eyes real. You can feel each character's personalities just by looking at their eyes.

Hmm... I never saw Cream as a "princess"-type in games. She really seems like a normal polite girl to me.
As for Tails... I like to draw him more or less naive and innocent, in other words, the way he seemed to be back in Sonic 2.
We all have reasons to hate characters... ever since Shadow the Hedgehog came out on PS2 and all, I came to hate him, though not as much as Sonic Team's revamped Charmy since Sonic Heroes. But I really hate Shadow otherwise. Let's just say I "try" to make him more likeable in my pics.
