runcycles take a bit of practice, but there's a lovely tutorial by DragonwolfRooke . It's for a walk cycle, but it works for runs too. pretty much how i learned
could i also ask about the new version - is it hard to use because of the .zip file or its transparency because i should totally fix that if it is

The transparency thing. I didn't save it, because it personally just looks very difficult to use xD
Something like this is more my speed. It's much easier, and simple. It worked for me very well, though I did kind of screw up frame #7 but other than that, the run cycle test turned out very well.

hi! you open them up in an image editing program, colour them in and then save them all (trimmed) separate files.Β

Erm.. I might have it up later today, But I've been having some problems with it saving as a movie. (I use WMM.) But I recently deleted like, 250+ things from my computer, so it might work better. If it doesn't, I might have to redo it or something. It's like, a 4:24 long run cycle though. (It has a song playing in the background.)

Have you tried changing the resolution of the movie? Where it says "Publish with best settings for my computer", choose the third option down and fiddle with that.
Or you can compress it down to less KB by choosing the second option.
