I have too many comic ideas for these ladies and I need to get them out of my system before the show either reinforces or sinks this ship, so I've got at least two more strips planned already. You have been warned. Yes, this is my one and only RWBY OTP. Fite me.Can't wait for the next episode btw. o__o Nnnggaaahhhh!

Props to Emerald for trying her best to be the perfect wife for her beloved Cinder who, despite everything, is still a bitch but
this is progress, right? Baby steps, but at least she's finally accepted Em's embrace.
(As suggested in the 5th panel, in my headcanon these two had a sort of romantic relationship before Mercury showed up and
Cinder completely shifted her focus to the hunt for the fall maiden and acting out Salem's evil schemes.)
I do understand why Cinder would be pissed, though. One moment you're one of the most powerful beings on the planet
and the next you can't even lift a finger without getting jolts of pain. On top of that, the girl you rescued from the streets
is now spoon-feeding you.
This must be really... Em-barrassing for her. *this is the part where the creator of this comic bitch slaps herself* No. Just. No.

I admit I don't read/watch Cinder Fall, but all I know is that this is really adorable. I understand, I have a pattern with my Villain/Heroine shippings too (I ship characters who never even show interest in each other in animes/shows/books/whatever, but hey, don't we all?). We all have our patterns XD
And hey, you made me love this pattern too! It's full of tragedy and drama and it's just awesome.
And Girlfriend still loves her because... A) The heart has no brain, B) We always remember the good days and hope to get them back C) We believe the Evil Chick can still be redeemed... Take your pick

RWBY is quite good for a web series. It started out as kind of a happy-go-lucky show with lots of fairy tale references and
amazing fight scenes but later became darker, much more story-driven and heartbreaking and that was (surprise, surprise!) the point where I really fell in love with it. x'D
I mean, characters inspired by fairy tales and legends & tragic stories + intense battles. Yes please! <3
Oh yes we do! This ship isn't canon either. And they're both villains. Although the green-haired girl, Emerald, simply works for miss Cinder Fall
here and is not nearly as hated by the fandom as her boss. x3 The lesser evil of the two.
But ever since the first scene I saw these two interact (Emerald walks up to Cinder and tries to hug her but the woman just walks past her.),
I immediately thought "Okay so this girl definitely has a thing for her boss." Cinder was a cold-hearted bitch from the get-go so why would this girl even expect a hug from her?Β Obviously it could be completely platonic, like someone admiring their big sister type of thing but yeah... the hints there and this series seems to be a gold mine for shippers. xD

This could very well be a missing scene from between Volume 3 and Volume 4 if you ask me.Β
Love the character emotions and interactions here. It's obvious that Cinder is actually in pain from Ruby's attack, and while recovering she's probably nursing a lot of anger, hurt and pain. Anger at being defeated by Ruby, Hurt because of her failure, and of course, the horrifying pain to being damaged so badly that she's reduced to this sorry state from being one of the most powerful beings on the planet.
It's nice to see Emerald taking care of her, and of course, having the patience to put up with that kind of behaviour from Cinder.Β
Aside from the spoon's sudden death, the moment in which Emerald cradles Cinder close to her while the latter could be seen spasming and twitching in pain was particularly heartwarming. We know Cinder rescued Emerald from a life of thievery and starvation, but I presume Emerald is loyal to her but probably not to Salem's ideals...and I wonder what would be next for the both of them.Β
And yes...Mercury needs a whack on the head from ruining the sweet moment. I can imagine him having a black face later.Β
P.S. Nice touch on having some cutlery in Emerald's holsters!Β

I wanted these characters to act like they've been portrayed in the show as closely as possible. In shipping comics,
some creative liberties are needed, of course. I think I nailed both Emerald and Mercury.
Cinder, however, I'm not so sure about. Not until we get to know more about what's going on with her. This was really my best guess.
The things you mentioned must really be affecting her and it shows. In addition, Salem practically screwed her over by not telling her to avoid silver-eyed
Β people since the maiden's power makes the host vulnerable to their attacks. Cinder seemed to be the only person in Salem's court not aware
Β of the existence of these warriors. She's the one left in the dark despite the fact that Salem refers to her as the key to their victory.
Β Emerald and Mercury are the only people she can trust.
(Though Mercury can be rather disobedient. If one of the two is going to turn their back on Cinder, it'll be Merc.)
I've seen some theories about Cinder's body being taken over by either her maiden persona or even Pyrrha's soul due to the failed transfer back in the vault. Honestly, I hope neither of those theories are true. At least not completely true. Erasing Cinder as a character would take away her possible redemption arc andΒ the need to explain her backstory (which I desperately want to hear)...
Okay not gonna lie, I'm mostly just concerned about how it would affect the Emerald x Cinder ship. XD
And so far I've been really happy with everything Rooster Teeth has done with the show.
Only time will tell! *fingers crossed* In the meantime, I'll make as many comics about these two as possible.

Yeah, I understand. You do what you can with the information available. Yeah, Cinder has been knocked down pretty hard by Ruby and it shows. She's so full of negative emotions that it's clear she wanted to get back at the girl who hurt her...but she still needs to heal. And whatever Salem was doing to her, it's pretty painful. (That's highly possible...although emerald is quite...uncomfortable by what has happened to Vale.)
That's plausible but I pray it's not the case. I wonder how Roosterteeth would redeem Cinder if that ever happened. Yeah, I saw quite a few shipping pics for Emerald and Cinder.Β

Which is a possibility since she is portayed as vulnerable and adorable this volume

A really interesting detail considering the fact that she's supposed to be a villain. Something's definitely wrong with her.
Could just be the hurt and shame she's feeling after losing to Ruby, though. Or it could be something else.
This is a bit of a stretch but... assuming Cinder cared even a tiny bit of her underlings, what would happen to the fall maiden's power if she was to die somehow? They probably wouldn't go directly to Salem unless via grimm-transfer since she's "an old hag" like Qrow phrased, nor would Merc get them 'cause he's a dude. Wouldn't it be sad if Emerald inherited the powers and that was her only way of knowing Cinder was thinking of her when she passed?

I'm honestly surprised about the lack of Emberald/ChaosEmerald/Blazing Saddles fan art
(this ship apparently has many names like many of the RWBY ships..) since Emerald's affection towards miss Fall is so obvious.
