I have too many comic ideas for these ladies and I need to get them out of my system before the show either reinforces or sinks this ship, so I've got at least two more strips planned already. You have been warned. Yes, this is my one and only RWBY OTP. Fite me.Can't wait for the next episode btw. o__o Nnnggaaahhhh!

Props to Emerald for trying her best to be the perfect wife for her beloved Cinder who, despite everything, is still a bitch but
this is progress, right? Baby steps, but at least she's finally accepted Em's embrace.
(As suggested in the 5th panel, in my headcanon these two had a sort of romantic relationship before Mercury showed up and
Cinder completely shifted her focus to the hunt for the fall maiden and acting out Salem's evil schemes.)
I do understand why Cinder would be pissed, though. One moment you're one of the most powerful beings on the planet
and the next you can't even lift a finger without getting jolts of pain. On top of that, the girl you rescued from the streets
is now spoon-feeding you.
This must be really... Em-barrassing for her. *this is the part where the creator of this comic bitch slaps herself* No. Just. No.

Just a moment ago Cinder was one of the most powerful beings in all of Remnant
and now she can't even eat or speak without assistance.
Emerald is probably having the time of her life, though. She might be terrified of Salem and the endless grimm rising from the goo on the ground
but being close to Cinder is all that matters. x3 ( I loved that part in the 1st chapter of volume 4 when Em looked so horrified looking out the
window but the second Cinder snapped her fingers, she rushed to her side and pushed Mercury out of the way.)

There is a feeling in some of the fandom right now that Emerald is not as wicked or despicable as she was made out to be. She may have felt herself to be one badass street sister sticking it to the fools in Beacon. But actually seeing Beacon crash and burn was not the thrill ride she expected. Then Cinder onee-sama got toasted when Ruby-puppy unexpected revealed silver fangs, and they had to get the medevac to Little Mordor. There Emerald got to meet Lady Salem's posse, the Grimm Bruthaz 4 Life, and she was like "I'm not Bad, I'm the Fresh Princess here!" But she still has her street smarts, so she sticks close to Cinder and is helpful & useful. But if she wants anything else, she is smart enough to hide it.Β

Β I can see why. It's very obvious that all this destruction and grimm stuff and Salem are making her extremely
uncomfortable. Emerald never said that she absolutely wants the world to be burned to the ground but
Cinder apparently wants it, so...
Or does she? Can't say for sure. She wanted power and Salem was probably like
"So you want to be feared, child? Sure, I'll let you become as powerful as you want but first you have to do something for me: Kill the fall maiden."
Cinder: " Deal!"
Salem: "Then you must cause a worldwide panic and release the grimm dragon."
Cinder: " Okay... that sounds like a lot of work but I think I can-"
Salem: "Oh and most importantly: kill Ozpin and destroy the Beacon tower."
Cinder: "....Anything else?"
Salem: *thinks whether or not she should tell her about the silver-eyed warriors* "No. That's everything. You'll be fine, girl."

You remind me on the B++ch/D+++ Moment of Cinder,
when she arrogantly slapped Emerald, saying she should not forget her Place,
when Emerald told her that they dont need him. But actually,
Emerald has the most righteous Heart of all of them,
and "if" Cinder should lose her - as a Ally, or even as a "Friend",
even if Cinder may think of Emerald of nothing more than a simple Subordinate,
believe me - even if Roosterteeth would decide not to show such a Moment,
Cinder W.O.U.L.D. notice 'AND' realise at one Moment, how much she will miss
Emerald, having her on her Side.
We all know Emerald is "pretty much" Cinders most important, emotional Help.

Situation like Emerald, tough he had it rough just a Moment before they showed up,
but judging from BOTH Emerald's and Mercury's Personalities,
the Person who will abandon Cinder much, "much" faster - is definitely Mercury!
While " Emerald " instead will still be thankful to Cinder, for picking her up from
being homeless and poor - and gave her a Place she could call Home.
Even IF Cinder treated her like Crap, one or a few Times.

It's such a pity that Cinder can't see what's right in front of her. The precious little gemstone by her side, always there for her.
The situation kinda reminds me of how the prince from Cinderella only recognized his one true love
after he had tried the famous glass slipper on every single female in the kingdom. I mean seriously, the guy
danced with the girl until midnight and couldn't even remotely remember what she looked like. This might or might not have something to do
with the fairy godmother's magic. Or then he was just too drunk that night and forgot everything in the morning.
Or then he just looked at her feet the whole evening.

Absolutely! Cinder may took Emerald away from being homeless and gave
her a Place to belong to - > but Emerald is also doing Cinder a Service and
Favour for "being" her Ally.
It's not like only Cinder gave something "only" to Emerald. Emerald is also
giving something back - and it would be nice if Cinder knows to appreciate
that.
