Some setting description (for those who love reading lots of letters )

Among Nature mages there are shapeshifters and therianthropes, who both can turn into animals. Therianthropes are changing their physical body appearance, whereas shapeshifters switch their body with their beast, who exists on the astral plane.
Shapeshifters can modify their shape and size more freely, but therianthropes have magic resistance and enhanced physical abilities in human form, and they need less mana to stay in their beast form.

Mages in Academy are classified by so-called primary and secondary profile - among other things, they affect personality. Faculty is chosen by the student's primary profile - that makes communication and collaboration less dangerous That's, though, rather vague. Secondary profile can affect a person as much as the primary, and also there are all kind of deviations among people with similar profiles.
But, as the matter of fact, Death mages are considered cruel, self-indulgent and self-centered like hell, and overall dangerous freaks . Other faculties mostly think befriending them to be bad luck.
Nature mages are calm and independent, living in harmony with themselves and the world around.
So, between these two, it often up to Tigris to look for compromise. Not that she minds that, really...
