and I'm haunted / by the lives that I have loved / and actions I have hated / I'm haunted / by the lies that wove a web / inside my haunted head ~ Poe, "Haunted" (I only listen to this song like... a hundred times a day)soooo I wanted to make a LJ icon to use when talking about my Kingdom Hearts/Silent Hill fanfic and I ended up spending close to four hours just now working on this. it still looks messy to me but fuck it, it's just an icon.
Now, I have to be totally honest. Nothing in the Silent Hills series has ever scared me. but after a while, this picture really unnerved me. At one point when I was finishing it my dog randomly started barking really loud and I swear I almost crapped my pants, I kid you not. I feel very unsettled right now.

I painted it on the computer, but I don't remember which program I used... either Photoshop or Paint Tool Sai or both.
For glowy things, you just paint on a layer above with the layer set to Screen or Overlay or something like that.

Oh ghod. I finished that story a while ago. A month of secretly holfing my phone up to my face under my blanket from 8pm to sometimes midnight for just...one...more...chapter...
I even had to break it out during my study hall (but because mr moyse loves my guts, xD) and AHH! SO MANY CEILING STARES AFTER I FINISHED IT!!! XD im actually making my own kh/sh, where roxas wakes w/ no memory of anything other than his name, and through sublimimal messaging finds a flipphone w/ no service, that gets messages from someone claiming to want to help him remember the truth so he can save the world from apocalypse b/c a certain former-hero-Somebody has been bitten by the Alessa-bug. 
Anyhoo, sorry for the spam-length comment, I'm pulling the same thing i did for The Open Door now for another fic called Into the Nightmare, an SH self insert. XD and i felt the need to look at pretty pictures and came accross this again. XD

this is amazing. i love the emotion and the darkness of the picture. i've been reading your story on fanfiction.net and i think it is the best kingdom hearts fanfic i've ever read, no joke. it is so well written that sometimes the detail put into it scares me so bad that i have to stop for the night and continue when it's light out

Silent Hills and Kingdom Hearts make a really good crssover.... I wanna see how it turns out. Hey you are so brave! The first time I and my friends played Silent Hills together we screamed our heads off and my friend didn't dare to go into the toilet anymore. Anyway i love the shading and reflections, good job!!!

I've never really gotten my hands on Silent Hill but I've seen the clips and seen the movie (which I think could have had a wee bit more to it), but your story looks like its really good.....Kingdom Hearts I know...Too well, actually.

The story is based more off of the Silent Hill games than the movie. The movie is okay I guess, but it seems like people are much more aware of the movie than the games.

Yey... *-* it kinda matches the nightmare I had this morning...Creepy thing was that I kinda had it while I was standing in my shower... 5 AM when EVERYTHING is dark and my bathroom was foggy....D:
*shudders* Anyway, I've seen the games of course. I would love to play them but erm...My aunt and uncle already think I like all kinds of um..."Evil" stuff D: I'm not exactly the favorite of the family...The movie I heard was nothing compared to the games, so I know there's way more to it than it seems.
I just finished reading the first chapter and I forgot to blink...Man! You're good, I even felt the sting and all that....Wow I have to add it to my favorites and print it out to read during school or something!
