Update: 2.19.2016:Finished it! And I'm trying a few more things out on backgrounds. This one actually doesn't make me want to throw my screen out the window, so that's a good thing! I hope you guys like it. :3 Thanks for your patience!

Thalion grew up beside Thoron and, when the two were old enough, they formed a soul-bond. They're as close as brothers and lived many difficult years together following the untimely death of Thalion's mother. Thoron felt partially responsible for what happened, so when Thalion decided to flee his childhood home in search of his father (who he was unaware had already been killed), Thoron joined with him. Thalion feared flying, or even trying to learn, due to the incident with his mother so when it came time for him to learn he stubbornly refused. More and more people fell during the war to keep his location a secret and eventually, Thalion couldn't take it any longer. He resolved to take flight for the honor and memory of those that had died protecting him- whether he knew them or not.

I'm hoping written! I don't have the energy to draw it. It's 20+ years in the making XD It's just taking a lot of work to polish out the details and get things organized and consistent. A lot changed through the years, plots were dropped or altered, etc.

Why not just start with a short story? I was having the same issue, I have a story in my head since I was 14! It went through a lot of changes because I changed! A big story can be intimidating to take on so I'm taking the advice I was given and starting small to build confidence. Not worrying about perfection. The short story doesn't even have to be cannon, just a fun experiment. I want to use that as a package to share it at local Cons.
Either way, you certainly have the skill to support a riveting story.

And I may XD I'm working on fleshing out another story that's a little more open- I'm bringing faithbros in to rp in it to see if we can build up a story and refine it as a practice project. Pcm will be a massive undertaking. ;3;

Best place to start is the beginning ^^ Mine basically begins with two childhood friends who grew apart and ended up on opposite sides of the law. I have trouble starting but I was thinking of pretending to have them write journals about their pasts.

Oh man XD I love stories like that. I wish they'd come out with a manga for Suikoden 2 >>; Starts out with two best friends that end up on other sides of a battlefield. ...I reduced a friend to a sobbing mess under the couch doing a play-through for her. XD
I'll keep sketching down ideas. >>; I may have to cut a few things for the sake of streamlining a story.

In many ways, I can say that I relate, especially with finances. The past 7 months have been a slew of adjustments for me, and a lot of it has been out of my control, or just really hard to take in at first. Hang in there dear; we're here for you! I've had many moments when I wonder "What can I do?" or "Where is God in all of this?" But, He has proven Himself time and time again, and I know He will do the same for you!
And I love this drawing!!! It's so cute and well executed! Please do color it! I think it would be gorgeous!

All I can do is try to be a good worker, a good friend, a good family member, and a good member of society and hope that God sees fit to put me where I'm able to survive. :3

He always comes through! It's hard to see that sometimes, especially in the middle of the storm. God's outside of the storm, he sees where you're going and knows what has to happen to get you through it. Have you heard the song "Just be held" by casting crowns? Fantastic song for had times. :3

I understand that, for sure. He is the calm in the storm and around it. And storms can be personal, or involve people that you really love; sometimes that causes us to get caught up in other storms. But, I've seen God move in others' lives that I', fighting alongside with, and it is beautiful to see how He moves. And yes, I have heard that song; it has come on at the most opportune times.
