Description
A redblood... a living testament to the crime of a werewolf taking a mate with another outside of its kind. An abomination and a death sentence both to the child and the parents that broke the law in order to conceive it- both the bitch and the sire. Every redblood was marked from the moment of birth by a pair of horns that, if allowed to grow, would become knotted, twisted things like those of a ram.

Both Edle and Issac looked fearfully down at the pair of tan nubs curling from the newborn's already blonde head. He was silent, feeding from his mother's bosom, as Issac stood close by.

"They know...", He noted quietly, turning his head slightly back towards the heart of the woods. "It's fallen silent."

"I know." Edle panted, wrapping her young son in what remained of her shirt. "You have to take him."

"But-"

"I don't have the strength." She looked up sadly though the sweat-drenched locks.

Issac looked over to her, he could almost feel his heart moving to the pit of his throat. It was true, she'd been in labor since sunset, crying out for all the woods to hear. No doubt the pack had sent a scout. He'd have reported in by now. Not a cricket chirped, not a leaf stirred. Only the thick fog swirled about the three in the dim moonlight.

"I can't leave you here...", he protested weakly, already knowing there would be no compromise.

"You must, they'll kill all three of us if they find us like this- if they find him!"

Issac opened his mouth to protest but an outraged howl erupted from behind them, scattering a murder of crows from where they'd previously been roosting for the night. A chorus of similar howls followed in.

"Issac take him!"

"But-"

"Run..."______________________

<_< Well.. it was stuck in my head when I drew this but it wasn't the point. XD Totally killed the mood there.

Anyway, needless to say Edle was killed shortly after. Issac managed to escape long enough to leave the baby on a road leading towards an old abby. Issac bought time enough for the old friar to find him, but it cost his life at the fangs of his own pack.

Yurp that little ball of doom is Silence. XD Named for his strange silence as an infant despite everything.

It was done in pencil, kind of a quick half doodle thing... added the effects in photoshop- again meant to be a bit sloppy. XD
