I felt at the time you took the Traffalger photos, you somehow turned the corner to become a photographer. This photo represents that turning point to me.
I remember the time we spent on the birds and these Russian guys.
I loved it then, and love it now.

A very fantastic photo! I am not a photographer, so I wish I could say something technically great about it, but to me, it's perfect. Great lighting, and the black & white was a good choice!

Yeah, those hats are absolutely crazy. I saw one at a swap meet a few months ago...somehow (and I'm sure they wouldn't like the comparison) but they remind me of Colonel Klink's hat.

Very good pic, I like this a environment which points out to us the dark period of the cold war between the USSR and the occident. But the man on the left in the foreground it's Mr. George MarchΓ© a French politician, chair French Communist Party in the Seventies Eighties. I think that it's a photo assembly made by the people opposed to these ideas

I worked on the original colour shot in photoshop, adjusting brightness, contrast and tone. I burnt in the areas that were too messy for me, and applied a masked lens blur over the background only.

Those guys are the Bomb. I was forced to listen to a whole night of singing when I was in Russia. Strangely enough my peers kept cracking into hysterical giggles.... I thought they were pretty good myself.
