Description
A little something from the depths of my hard drive. Made this months ago, never got around to posting it. Basically, it's supposed to be a bronze sculpture depicting two tockneff (one of the many alien species that populate my mind) stealing a meal from a maternity ward. Why and how are hard to say, considering humans are not present in the same galaxy as the tockneff, but nonetheless, there it is.Yes. Baby eating is funny.

Maya for the basemesh and Zbrush for the sculpting, posing, and rendering.
Glad you like it, thanks for the comment.

Tockneff, huh? Brilliant bipedals! I love the details of the musculature and joints...single eye...super long digits...looks like they were built for speed and dexterity, to some degree.
Then again, they may also be quite intelligent. Anywhoo the expressions are great. Bodily positioning wise, they seem to run and think as a team. I love how the one on the left is all smug, like, "Hehe. Stupid humans. Mmm food. Eat soon!" and the one on the left is clearly running for breakneck and getting the hell out of dodge.
Very...well...done. It's great when the strange races and aliens pop out, isn't it?

Very awesome work! They look like fascinating creatures! Maybe, just maybe, they actualy exist in some corner of the universe
They'd look awesome animated.
Any idea on how long it took to create these?
Also, poor babies
Great work.

Probably took... 10 hours of work? I'm guessing here, for said work was definitely spread out over a much longer period of time.
Glad you like it. Thanks for the comment.

I'm kinda fan of digital sculptors (although real sculpture isn't one of my fav). Zbrush rulez. You're cool!

Took me awhile to realize that those things in their mouths were babies. (I was reading your description and looking at their backs to see if the babies were riding them for some weird reason or other...)
And it does not help that I can smell meat cooking in the kitchen. *Stomachs curves inwardly in horror*
Great job. It's beautiful.

I could have swore this was a real statue. The attention to detail is just great; all of those wrinkles make for a pair of handsome...babysnatchers.

Why thank you. The bronze material there is pretty convincing, isn't it? 'Course, I really didn't make that, it's just an option in the program. Anything you can model you can simply make look like bronze with the click of a button. Cool stuff though.

I would so have a statue like that in my house. Looks like something out of a grim fairytale. Mabey on some distant colonized moon, mothers tell thier children to be good or the tockneff will get them. Ummm, babies...
This is very cool, I love their long legs. Very graceful and believable beings. And I remember those eyes!!

Looks like a tockneff could step right into a carelessly ajar window without a sound. Too bad these guys forgot their burlap sacks. They'll have to take a second trip if they want seconds.
Punktaugen. Gotto love that word.
Thanks for the kind words!

Ooohh, that's a cool creepy visual. Those guys folding their long legs to fit through an open window and then stalking across the darkened room.I'm sure they don't think themselves creepy in the least. How xenophobic of me!!
Punktaugen!!Definitely one of the worlds trippiest words.
And you are welcome. Your rendering always amazes me. This really comes across as textured bronze or some other metal.
