I find that when teaching step-by-step drawing, it's very hard to draw the outlines first, for beginners.
Just a thought.

im new at drawing good art bu if im doing sonic characters i go
muzzle>eyes+mouth+nose>body+body fur ( i draw this first) >hair/spines> legs/boots/shoes>> everything else
but thats just my method

Well... to tell the truth... I'm not sure I.... will do Bark or Nack..... because.... I'm not sure how to draw them... and I don't know them well.... and they haven't been characters for a while.... sorry...
But I might still do them ^_^;

Well there's not reason you shouldn't try...c'mon, I bet you could do a good job on them ^^ And remember: anything you draw will be about 1000X better than anything I could do

Actually, the blue and white one was drawn by a friend, and any black and white ones done in plain pencil wer eby my sis...the only things in my gallery that are mine are the figures and the story...
