Description
Ruby is my fancharacter. She is Tikal and Knuckle's daughter. They are planning to start the Echidna race again, starting with Ruby.

Tikal is about 40 years old now and Ruby is 16.

Tikal is struggling to understand why Ruby does not want to "fulfil her purpose" and learn to guard the Master Emerald. Ruby has a brother too, but I haven't named him yet. Perhaps it could be "Emerald", "Em" for short. He could be orange like Tikal, but have Knuckles' eye shape.

Dialogue:

Ruby: Mom, I wish i could live my life the way I want.

Tikal: You can until your father and I get too old to continue guarding the Emerald. You already have a job at that burger place in Station Square.

Ruby: But Mom, why is it important to guard that silly green thing?

Tikal: We've been through this a thousand times. It holds too much power to get into the wrong hands.

Ruby: Why don't we just destroy it then?

Tikal: It would shatter into pieces and someone could find them and put them together. You know this, Ruby!

Ruby: I don't want to spend my whole life sitting on those stupid stone steps not doing anything! Why, the next thing you know, you'll want me to marry my brother!

Tikal: Ruby, how do you expect us to start the echidna race again?

Ruby: I'M NOT MARRYING MY BROTHER!!!

Tikal: But... you just can't let the whole race die out! I should know; I've been there. We used to thrive! And now there's only 4 of us left in existance!

Ruby: So that's it then. That's my sole purpose in life. That's the only reason I was born, huh?

Tikal: Knuckles and I wanted a daughter too. We wanted you. We love you and your brother more than we love ourselves.

Ruby: Sure, whatever.

I feel sorry for poor Ruby... and Tikal too, seeing as she is in conflict with being a good mother and saving the world.
