Description A quick digital painting exercise that I did, from this tutorial.

The same turian girl from the other picture, "The Edge of Gravity", this time with her hood down.

I know, she has a fringe, but in my head canon... sorry. In "Paragons of the Renaissance" verse, turian girls do have fringes, but they cut it off on the same year they have their puberty, as a way to show how they clear they understood their gender roles in the hierarchy and a sign of their rite of passage.

(Also, a 10 AUS dollar bet that the other reason is that the turian males cannot tell the difference between a man and a woman if they both have fringes at the same time.)

So why this scoundrel kept her fringe? She's more in touch with her boyish side and likes to hang out with the ladies.

In short: She may as well be the Patricia Braden of the ME verse, except in reverse.

Purple eyes! Wow!

She really is quite something to look at. Is that .. a braid of hair on her back. How odd! Then again, I've learnt that many fan authors seem to think turians have a fascination with human hair.

Thanks. Purple eyes were already weird enough in human genetics, but I think it's slightly normal for turians I think, due to the blue colourisaion of their blood. Normal as in the equivalent of the human green eye colour. I think.

Actually those are braided rope earrings with some fur trimmings of sorts, due growing up in a colony that has a similar climate to the Himalayas region back on earth.

Yeah, I've noticed that fan authors do seemed to write about turians fascination with human. Not to say I'm not guilty of it, but that's an interesting thought, especially for any Garrus/Femshep shipper writers.

Oh that's really clever! So .. she might be something like a semi albino? You know, like those white lab rats whose eyes are red for lack of proper pigment?

Aha, sorry.

It might be that they love everything exotic and fluffy of course, not just hair.

Not surprised with the turians fixation on the fluff, since their homeworld... lacks fluffy stuff. *ahem*

Ha ha, well we don't know that, do we? If there aren't fluffy animals, furred or feathered, there might be fluffy cloths or plants. But still, it's adorable, isn't it?

Good point, last I've heard, turian do have some sort of animal that is equivalence to chickens. So they might be fluffy after all. Still you're right, it is adorable.

Curiously, where did you hear that?

Ha ha, makes me think of that Garrus vs James Vega comment about 'being chicken' ... that he doesn't even know what a chicken is, but he's heard that everything in the galaxy tastes just like it.

I think pretty much everything turian is adorable you know so I'm seriously biased.

From the Cerberus Daily News, when the writers were still writing fluff pieces in-between their ME2 DLC development.

Yeah, I hear you about turians. I think this comic I'm working on, proves how I'm a little bias with the turians as well.

Oh right! I saved all those a while ago but I haven't actually read them all yet. Thanks! Ha ha, so there really are Palaven chickens. Awesome! I wonder what they taste like, ha ha.

I see. Well they are an amazing race, aren't they? I'll read Paragons ... soon, I'll probably start it up tomorrow for breakfast.
