Description
For more of my Erika art: tilt5000.deviantart.com/galler...Okay, so sadly I can't find the thing that inspired this, but someone I follow on tumblr posted a gender-flipped Erik and I freaked out, basically. And I really wanted to do something with the unmasking scene. So here are Erika and Christian, having some minor relationship troubles, one could say. Personally I find the idea of the gender roles in Phantom of the Opera being reversed IMMENSELY interesting, and maybe if I had the time I would explore that more but for now I'm pretty happy with this.
Characters created by Gaston Leroux.

Your Erika design is effective Erika reminds me of miss Havisham, Mama ghost from horror movie Mama and also a bit of Elizabeth from the 1995 Frankenstein movie. They were all creepy, but beautiful.

Excellent! I enjoy gender-bending Erik(a) for some reason - I guess the idea of seeing a woman in Erik's situation intrigues me. Wonderful rendition of the scene.

Thank you so much! I thought it would be interesting to play with the Erik/Christine dynamic this way. The idea of an exceptionally brilliant but very damaged and morally defunct female lead is intriguing, and imagining Christine as a man has been interesting too. I'm working on some more Erika stuff because it's just to fun to leave behind.

Tell me about it! I think it would be even more difficult for a woman, let alone a man, at that time to be able to exercise her genius. But she would also have more creative means of dressing herself and hiding her deformity.
Can't wait to see what else you do.

I imagine her going through some of the adventures from Susan Kay's Phantom, too, and having to fight even more strongly against those who wanted to take advantage of Erik, or pretend he didn't exist.
I hope it'll be worth the wait. ^_^
