I'm currently involved in a small group of people who have banded together over various parts of the world to produce professional (hopefully lol) contnet for use by the gaming world. So far we've only released several small (Yet useful ) VB programs, but our next big project is a mod for a Quake III Engine based game.

In any case, this being the case, we're going to need a logo, and someone suggested using an Atari 2600 style joystick as a sort of iconic symbol relating to games for a part of the logo. Since then, I created this model as a test and if all goes well, the final product. I've taken a bit of creative licence in this thing's design (As far as I know, the real thing doesn't have a button on the top of the stick. )

Here's a desktop sized beauty shot of the model. It was modeled in LightWave 8.2 and rendered with an area light and several fill spotlights.

Later on... after I fully understand the tricks behind LightWave's renderer (so it won't take 20 hours to render lol ), I'll see about creating another one with radiosity, caustics and HDR based lighting.
