Thank you so much I'm working on two more for this series, one clockwork and one based on harps. When I get things organized I'm planning on making some of these as sketchbook covers for blank books... think I could sell some of them? Have a great day, Tim

I think your books are amazing. I'm just about to start a project myself on making a journal or something. Are your pages bound? and is the cover leather?

Thank you so much I love making books, yes, it's leather on some, as well as brass and steel, and some is just paint and plastic...whatever I need I guess. they're bound, hand made paper... really fun to make
I look forward to seeing what you come up with *watches*

These are gorgeous. I have a thinge for books that seemed to have jumped out of a mystical, ancient time not my own. Each one holds an air that, if you dared to open them, would immediately reveal every sage's spell or knowledge (or bite your hand because you didn't say the magic word before picking it up )
Amazing work.

I wish I could have one, just so I can run around and go, "Ha, ha! I have an awesome ancient tome of knowledge and YOU DON'T!" And secretly it would contain, like, science notes or homework XD

How much would you charge to make one a custom book?
π: 0 β©: 1
TimBakerFX In reply to delimaart [2010-04-01 22:28:37 +0000 UTC]
Well, that would depend on a lot of factors, I'd have to know what kind of book and what materials and guess on how much time involved.

bug-in-my-eye [2010-03-29 03:15:46 +0000 UTC]
these are incredible! I know you've probably had countless questions on them, but I must ask how they were made? Are most of the materials metal, or something else?

TimBakerFX In reply to bug-in-my-eye [2010-03-30 05:27:55 +0000 UTC]
Thank you, glad you like them. Well, I work in so many media, it gets confusing for me too These are hand cut and acid cut brass and stainless steal, leather, epoxy putty, resin, leather, wood, some pieces are cast, some are carved. I just do whatever it takes to get the job done. If you had any specific questions feel free to ask, i'm always glad to give info
