Well hi Valerie, is it really you? I don't know if you would remember but we've met several times at conventions (you always seem surrounded by photographers Well glad to see you on DA, and thank you! making these books is something I do for the joy of it.

Some are hand made paper by me, some are printed on parchment... depends on what i'm going for

One of my favourite shops in my city is a fancy papery downtown. They have their walls lined with beautiful papers and journals of all sizes and types. Sometimes I go in just to see if they have anything new that I'll want to save up for. But, this piece of work blows them out of the water.

Thank you painting the textures was my favorite part of this for sure, since most of it was molding and casting

I took molds from real fossils and cast them in resin... then sculpted on top of that base with epoxy putty and painted. glad you like it
