Slightly angsty pre-AnarChey AnarChey, maybe earlyish April 2018?
Chey came on the scene just a couple months after Anarchy and Kato ended...whatever they had before, and I was musing about if maybe Anarchy might have still been slightly in the process of getting over that when Chey showed back up. Chey's not really the jealous type, though; even if Anarchy had been occasionally looking wistfully across the bar while Chey was glancing sidelong at him, Chey would’ve just let it be good enough that Anarchy was close, that he was alive, that he was near enough to touch. He didn’t have any romantic expectations when he returned; he didn’t feel entitled to Anarchy's affection. But really--it's inevitable that he gets it. There's just no way for it not to happen. He and Anarchy were in love before they knew what love was like, either of them. They were still 14/15 and incapable of grasping the concept of permanence when they tattooed themselves into one another’s skin. They were so young but so close and...yeah, I really do feel like they were in love by the time they got separated, and Anarchy didn’t realize it but maybe Chey did. And, well, Chey's name is still on Anarchy's hip seven years later, and Chey still has a little black "A" on his neck and an Ⓐ on his elbow and he's run his fingers over the tattoo of their star signs on his wrist a thousand times. Anarchy tattooed "SAVE US" onto Chey's arm, because that's how it was; it was "us", it was "we", it was them, together, always, and when they've reunited--even after so long--it picks right back up there. At "us".
