Derpy is Derpy and no one can change her. this is a few days late, cause we had my little nephew over, but anyway, the news that they changed/Cencored Derpy made me soo mad. and get this my little nephew even agrees that Derpy's new voice sounds Awful. and he's not even a MLP fan! now that is saying something.i for one much prefer her old voice then her new one, Sure the new voice makes her sound more *Weird* Female, but i just think that voice would better fit another pony. not Derpy.
And they took away her EYES! let me get this straight, Patrick and spongebob are ALLOWED to be STUPID but not Derpy? that's wrong very wrong.
not only did they change her eyes and voice but they didn't even use her name. this just makes me so effing frustrated
i just wanna scream at someone over this. give us our pony back or i will keep giving you the Birds.

Ok I've seen every episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic from season 1 to the current season which is 4 and I also saw the Equestria Girls movie and she's still Derpy in all of them, same "derpy" eyes and everything. So am I missing something? I know in The Last Roundup when RD talks to her, there are two separate versions, in the normal version RD calls her Derpy and she say's, "I just don't know what went wrong." and in the second she isn't named and has a different voice. So am I missing anything? If I am please let me know cause I'm still new to MLP: FiM.

Well first off welcome to the herd and secondly, there was a controversy over derpy because of her being named and her voice. Some people thought that derpy meant stupid and that Derpy's voice was offensive, which it wasn't (at least to me) so itunes changed her voice and rainbow dash didn't call her derpy and that made fans upset. It was a long road but we love derpy just the way she is. It was a controversy that didn't need to happen, but did, just cause adults thought her name and her voice was inappropriate. Some adults have never heard that word before and thought it was a bad word, but in reality, Derp simply means foolish and clumsy, although some definitions of Derp says it means stupid, but in my opinion it just means foolish. But anyway, that's as best I can put it. If anyone can explain it better... Then go for it.

Thank you for your reply, I hope Derpy gets more lines in season 4 and I was happy to see they put her in the title video for season 4. Her and RD are my top 2 favorites from MLP: FiM and even though I've only been a fan a short time, I would still be upset if they remove her.

I don't mind the new voice too much; after all, her first voice was a derp. The problem is the lack of name and lack of derp.

The Canadians (the ones actually making the show) don't understand the Americans (the ones that own the show) making such a fuss over this.
The one thing both sides do understand about this: Copywrite laws are bucking nuts. (Apparently the word derpy is 'owned' by the creators of "South Park")
Oddly enough, the issue would have been mostly avoided if they had simply called her Ditzy like they did in "Winter Wrap-Up".
Then it would have only been the issue of her voice. Which was a simple mistake of the studio not telling the VA that the voice was for a mare not a stallion.

Derpy will always be Derpy until the end of days....and beyond.
It's not just Spongebob and Patrick. Think of Donald Duck and Daffy Duck as well.....not to mention Tom and Jerry.

Apple and those people who complained are the ones at fault for this mess. Apple refused to sell the episode as it was. But the DVD version of the episode is still the same.
