Yea I’m a brony, what of it?
so i joined the group for everyone's favourite cross-eyed flying horse
and i decided to make a picture for it
i came up with this pretty quickly strangely enough (strange for me anyway), i just remembered the old wives tale that parents tell their kids
heh, I don’t know if that’s the real reason for derpy’s expression, it’s just a theory, there’s probably loads out there, heck I saw one where apparently it was a lab accident, dr. whooves went back in time to try and fix it but was always too late and gave up, another is that it’s a serious medical condition and she’s insalted that you mentioned it and demands an apology muffin

i like dr whooves as well, just not as much as derpy
i like alot of the other backgrouns ponies as well
its amazing how MLP's fandom can take these meaningless charathers (meaningless on the basis they have nothing to do with the main plot) and make them interesting
...then again, its no the only seires to do this, touhou fans took 2 random nameless mid-bosses, named them 'daiyousei' and 'koakuma' and developed them to be more interesting than some of the actual charathers

It happens in quite a few fandoms though. After all, Cirno had a small intro in EoSD, and quickly became one of the most popular Touhou characters, certainly enough so for ZUN to involve her in PCB, PoFV and UNL, and even get her own game.
Touhou is interesting though. The only characters in Touhou that I can think of as truly evil, with no real redeeming qualities is Tenshi, who is basically 'I AM BORED SO I CAUSE DESTRUCTIVE EARTHQUAKES', and possibly Mima, but I don't know enough to say for sure.

developing minor charathers i understand, but background charathers? thtas a sretch
...actually now i think about it a few background charathers from the spongebob seires get some fame, the 'deugh' fish for one
cirno doesn't really count since she was realted to the plot...well...poping out of nowhere anyway, but you still properly fight her and get a dailogue exchance...and a offical name
but i won't deny it, how the imfamous nineball screenshot made her THAT popular i have no idea
yea, unlike most seires touhou lacks black-and-whiteness, the heros aren't all good and the villans aren't all bad
in gameplay theres fighting, but come the end of the game everyone sits down together and drinks tea, fromer eneimies even team up with the player and remilla who caused a problem in touhou 6 is figting to fix the problem in touhou 8
the word 'evil' really doesn't fit anywhere in the seires
as you said, tenchi is the closest thing the seires has to an 'evil' charather, some fans argue utsuho is anouther canidate but i say she was more 'temperarly mad with power' than 'evil'
i didn't really think about mima being evil, i think i heard she was in her debute apperance, but after that became good, like you im not really sure

Okuu isn't really a candidate, but for a different reason: ZUN has said himself that Okuu is even more of an idiot than Cirno. Besides, who was the one responsible for Okuu getting that power? Kanako.

really? heh, well i guess its something interesting to do
after a while the main charathers to a series can tire out because you see them soo much, so one might have fun with an undeveloped charather
im just surprised these undeveloped charathers are able to become popular amungst a large group of people
haha, now i think about it that means kanako had caused 2 insadences in gensokyo...man i've heard of people having trouble fitting in and sometimes accidently causing problems when you move to the new place, but that is just rediculous
and i thought sanae was having trouble adjesting, heh, makes me wonder how suwako is doing

Kanako might be a candidate for 'evil person with no redeeming qualities' as well. I think Suwako is doing fine, after all it's not really her shrine anymore, I reckon she just goes with the flow.

kanako, evil? personally i think thats a bit of a strech
but then again some of people say reimu's evil, so fans can think what they want
heh, wow, now that i think about it suwako's the only one from the Moriya Shrine who hasn't got it bad from the fans...unless one would consider being enimies with everyone's favorite nineball ice fairy to be a bad thing

Well Kanako did try to shut down the Hakurei shrine so her shrine would be the main on in Gensokyo and gave Okuu nuclear powers for selfish reasons.
Well like I said, Suwako is pretty much going with the flow. Plus, like Cirno and Chen, she's an adorable loli-type. Despite being over 2,000 years old.

Well, like I said, she tried to shut down the Hakurei shrine without knowing it's importance, just wanting her shrine to be Gensokyo's main shrine, and she gave Okuu nuclear power so she could get the Kappas to start and industrial revolution and bring more technology to Gensokyo, which would then be credited to her.

...jk, i actually still don't see her as evil, i see her having a problem most people in gensokyo have, shourt-sightedness, to create a plan with good intentions and missing out one main factor

like i said, gensokyo generally has poor sense of mortality
i mean were talking about a place where 'randomly attacking people for no reason' is not seen as a bad thing, i dont think morality gets any greyer than that...granted no-one actually dies, but still, not something you want happening when going out for a walk
just look at touhou 9, the plot is that most of the characters are just wondering around and they get attacked for no or little reason

I suppose. The biggest 'dick moment' has to be in Scarlet Weather Rhaspody, where after Reisin tells Marisa to go up the mountain to find the person behind the weather problems, Marisa attacks her. Marisa is a bit of a dick anyway though, I guess.
