A painting I've been working on for quite a while. The newest piece for my portfolio website.Have a look if you're interested: www.timkiebooms.be
I wanted to create an image without relying on phototextures. This one's manually painted and the only texture you can see comes from some painterly texture-brushes.
The concept itself is a giant mechanic knight who's currently undergoing maintenance. The firewhip is being tested, while two workers are preparing to use the hose to oil it. Since I'm combining industrial robotics and knights, I wanted to create a city that would fit with it. So I've combined industrial with gothic architecture. If you've got some specific questions about anything in the painting, ask away!
It once again has been a while since I've submitted something, but I've decided to choose quality over quantity.
