I don't think so, Quesada is a bitch right now but in the nineties Marvel had a wide array of styles, many quite extreme in their aesthetics.
We just have to get rid of the guy and the facist "be-like-Ross" era will end.

I have a friend that always says make things that are important to you.
I'd say this is one of those times when he's right.
Mingola wasn't like when he did X-men and a few other comics, but the moment he starts doing HIS stuff, everyone's falling over themselves to catchup to him.
And Frank Miller draws the whole comic out then sends it to the publisher saying they can either print an already made comic Or lose money and not print it.
I'd say do something you want send it to a publisher and if they say piss off its their loss and not yours. You can always find another publisher.

it's interesting coming from an animation background because in that you have to be able to draw in many different styles and be able to copy the styles of others, but I really like your style so who cares if you can't draw like marvel wants you to?
