Dragonball Z - Vegeta (Early)This came out exactly as I wanted it too, I wasn't sure If I'd go with the mountains or an alien planet, but the sketches for the alien planet were just terrible, as were the ones were the Pod was in a huge crater, so for the sake of things, let's just say he landed softly. Oh, of course, this is Vegeta as we first met him. I gave him a tint of brown hair as he has that in some art and the first episodes we saw him in. I also know that some people aren't a fan of the cheekbones I set in, but I didn't really want to change it, I think he looks fine like that but for sketches of Vegeta in later sagas, I will make the adjustments. Before this gets too long, I hope you really like it.... Kid Goku is next.

The details in this picture is amazing. The rocks, the clouds, the sort of flowers in the front. The pod came out great, especially the red glass and the inside of it. The brownish hair suits him well here, I didn't like the brown hair in the actual first episodes. And then the shading, it's terrific, gives the picture such depth.
The young Prince as we know him, very well done!

Ha, well, judging from your avatar I can tell you're a Vegeta fan.
I'm glad you like the background, I really feel they give a sense of worldliness to Toriyama's series, more depth to his universe, y'know?
The brown hair was always a point of contention for me but looking back at some of Toriyama's original colors, I can see how they work, though the original green colored armor was disgusting.

I understand what you mean, you gave it more character though. The backgrounds in the series look sometimes a bit too flat. The universe you drew, now that I like. More colors, more clear and depth.
The green colored armor did not fit the Prince of Saiyans at all, Nappa could have pulled it off better, I suppose XD

Man I hate Goku, Vegeta was always so much cooler. And he actually did stuff instead of standing around like everyone else.

Yeah, I didn't particularly care for Goku, I like a naive protagonist cause it makes for really interesting minor characters and I tend to like villains who go through more character development than the protagonist because their struggles are more dimensional.
