The first incarnation of this, I designed in 2009, came to a finalized version in 2010, and posted here a year and change later.

I'm working on a portfolio at the moment to show to a nearby gallery where I could possibly have my work displayed, and I came back to this, one of my favorite pieces. It's been the better part of five years that I've spent practicing, so I drew it larger, embellished a good bit, and added in contrasting metallic highlights of gold and silver. I'm hoping to be posting more soon, I've got at least one piece very nearly finished, and if my plans come together the way I hope they will, I'll have both that and another up shortly after Christmas. We'll see about that, though, as the song says that inspired this, 'Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time.
