emma, alex, hank, charles, erik, sean and raven.some of the boys and girls from xmen: first class. I can´t help but wonder about the age of some of them in future installments of the saga, especially if they´ll be meant to take place in present times. how much older are emma, alex, hank and sean supposed to be than say, cyclops, jean, rogue, gambit, etc. if any older at all.

How do you come up with the poses...these things come to me very rarely...I generally have to use some pose I saw on Tv or in comics or something for reference!
Is some sort of proper training/education is required?

Well, Beast is about the right age to match X-men 3, Sean is way off. In fact he and Moira eventually married so they should be the same age. Havok is only 2 or 3 years older than Cyclops in the books so he's way off. Raven is considerably YOUNGER than Raven in the books (Mystique may be hundreds of years old). Emma is way off since she's supposed to be the same age as Havok.

He is? Honestly X-Men continuity is so messed up it's hard to follow. The last time I really followed Havok as a character was when he was in that series where he got sucked into an alternate universe and had to find a way home.

Here's something to blow your mind: If Mystique was a beloved member of the X Family, she almost killed Professor X in the first movie, she must've really gone bad.

Well, in the comics, Sean was probably 10 to 15 years older than Scott and Jean, just based on his attitudes and comments. It also means little brother Alex is considerably older than older brother Scott.
The really tricky bit is that glimpse of Ororo in 1963. That puts her in her 40s by the first X-Men movie. Maybe older, because it said "in the near future" or some-such after the flashback.
Ah well, Hollywood has no sense of scale, or time.
That's why I was hoping 1st Class would be a stand-alone thing, not tied to the original movies.

though I´m still thinking firts class will be the beginning of a new string of movies. even if hugh jackman stays as wolverine.

Didn't seem that way, to me. Recapping the scene with Magneto in WW2, clinched it for me. But, there's the house, the wheelchair (totally not right for 1963, don't even think they had power chairs then), Cerebro as a "round room". Plus, Bryan Singer wrote the story and produced the thing.

Well, in the other movies they talk about Jean and Scott being some of Charles first students, which they are not in this one.
I don't know about the WW2 scene, it is a bit odd that they made exactly the same scene..
I thought it stood out a lot compared to the other movies..
But they are going to be lot alike, since they are build up around the same comic of course.

Sure, same source material is going to produce some similarities, but these come from and even closer source, Singer wrote the story for First Class.
Of course, who's to say that a lot of mutants don't share Mystique's slow aging?

Well, X-1 and X-2 were pretty good, X-3, not so much. I hated how they rushed Jean into the Dark Phoenix, and that they didn't once do the phoenix fireburst. Bastards!

I'm hoping they will make this into a series of its own, a lot of the actors seem to think it will be, and maybe that'll be more interesting to watch
