Description
Here's a Tank Mode pic of a custom painted Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen Voyager Class Megatron I've been working on. This toy was originally green and black plastic with some silver paint trim. You should be able to google it if you'd like to see the original. It has been completely repainted to better match the look of Megatron in the upcoming Transformers movie sequel. Based with Tamiya silver spray paint for plastics. Panel lined with acrylics. Given several ink washes to give a weathered look. More detailing using acrylics and enamels. Several layers of drybrushing for the rust effects.
Stands about 7 inches tall in robot mode. All "Mech Alive" features still work perfectly. Gears inside Megatron's chest spin when his waist is turned. Large blade extends when his arm is straightened. Missile works as originally designed. A great deal of detailing has been done to the head, but the light piping still works great.
Thanks for taking a look.

Looks much better after the repaint. I saw the original in the packaging - lost all feeling on it.

It's a pretty cool toy, even without any modification.

I like the voyager class robot & alt mode much better than the leader class Megatron.

This figure is so frikkin' awesome with a high quality silver paint job instead of that totally random teal color Hasbro decided to mold him in. Awesome work!

Yep. The sculpting really suffers from the color choices and lack of paint. There's so much nice detail on many of these figures that gets lost without some paint.
