I wish there were more to post. Mike and I did a lot of talking about working together more but I was usually swamped with my obligations at Marvel. Eventually Mike went the digital route. Ive got a lot of commission requests to ink Mike since, as it turns out, Mike and Frank were gracious enough to recommend me to people who wanted to get his work inked. Hopefully, when I have more time, Ill be able to get to some of them...sooner than later. Inking Mike now, as corny as it sounds, is a pretty emotional experience for me. Im only now getting to the point where Im accepting that hes gone...let alone being able to talk about it. Now that I think about it, inking him might be a healthy way for me to cope. Ill be sure to post something new when I have it.

I always feel a little silly about saying this about Mike because its such a cliche' to say about lost loved ones but he was, quite literally, the best.

I met him briefly at Wizard World LA, he was quite busy as there were people trying to interview him, so I stayed quiet and just said, "Thank you, I enjoy your work". He said "Thank you". I really wanted to ask him to look at my artwork, lol! Being interviewed is good for ones career though so I moved on. He seemed like a nice guy to me.

One thing i really apreciate about your work is, you always respect the penciller's style! You adapt the style and still put your flavor to each one.

Very very cool. You helped capture the fantasy with your lines. I would've made a royal mess of things if I even attempted. There's so much composition that my ink would just be a big smear haha. Nice job again.
