The Eagle is still one of my most favorite spaceships. I still remember watching the series as a child. Nice rendering.

That was done before cycles. It would be fun to redo it now with Bmesh and a much lower face count...

Thanks. I don't remember exactly how long it took but I think it was around a week and a half. The animation I did with it took another week. I had to redo the command pod several times before it was right. In addition to that, I ran into a Blender glitch regarding the ship girders. If you put a single texture on a cylinder and animate it as is, you'll get a twitchy texture effect, the kind of thing you see when multiple textures overlap each other. I had to go back and use the subsurface modifier on all the cylinder shaped girders to keep this from happening. Don't know if the glitch still exists in 2.6 so consider that a heads up.
I have the Eagle available for download on Blendswap under Timzero4...

Hello there. I had a look at some of your work and am astonished. Your models and textures are amazing and my team here would love you to do some textures for us! We are all working on a 3D MMO SPACE SCI-FI game that brings originality and classic, most loved gameplay into one. We have 15 people all working on a 'pay on game completion' basis and we have a professor and some people from big game companies working with us.
If you are interested in texturing for us and maybe throwing in some models here and there please send me a NOTE and I will be sure to reply within a day.
Thank You,
Mendi Meyer

I seen blender. I'm am impressed with its range. Have you ever tried CAD?
What do you think of three d printers?

I started out with Autocad and have used several other CAD programs. 3D printers: not enough experience to have an opinion...

I now 3-d printers are out there. I have heard that they use CAD to make the image a reality. They first put down a grit or sand, then the printer prints an image then it is covered by sand. Through this process, sacking the cross sectioned images a 3-d object is created. On clever bloke to a series 270 Hp and made little 3-d blocks. I've heard of these things since 2006!
