Description A bit of speed painting that I ended up liking--meant to get me geared up for NaNoMangO . I was approaching it from the context of a portrait that might be sent out to advertise the young princess' eligibility for marriage.

Little can you tell...

question: those sketchy lines that go from the mouth to the eys, right below the cheeks. Do they have a purpose (secret to drawing good faces?)or are those just random lines?

statement: very nice portret two thumbs up

Thank you very much! The sketchy lines were me trying to figure out where to place the different facial features. And changing my mind, and changing my mind again... I just kept all my chicken scratchings in there because I guess I like to see the messy stuff when I'm speedpainting.

She looks sad considering it's an advertistment for marriage - but then a prospective prince probably wants to see a refined, serious looking lady than some grinning girl. I really like this!

She's definitely hiding something. Thank you for the comment!
