Welcome to the real theme of my CDC month, the Periodic Table!
Boasting the atomic symbol HG and number 80, and also known as Liquid Silver or Quicksilver, Mercury is a toxic element and the only metal known to melt at room temperatures. Once used in everything from medicines to makeup it is extremely dangerous for consumption and can poison you through ingesting, inhaling, or even just surface contact with your skin.
