Sony is doing a good job selling the Vita as the system not to get (by barely supporting it or not at all).Β I read a comment somewhere that the 3DS and PSP did bad in the beginning but they took off but here Sony has too much of a reason to shelve the Vita and go all out for the PS4 pretty much alienating gamers like me that got the Vita and supported it since day 1.

yea Sony really needed to push the vita support early, and showcase interesting exclusive games.
I dont think they should shelve the Vita just yet. I still believe they can bring back the vita.
I have yet to buy one, cause there aren't enough 'quality' exclusive games for me to get just yet.
Heres hoping they pull of the same stunt nintendo did with the Wii U, showing off a ton of new games in developement for the platform.

I have been staying optimistic about the Vita for a while though at this point its all too reminiscent of the Dreamcast but at least that system did not fail because Sega didn't even try it was just outclassed by the PS2 which had more to it than the Dreamcast did and Sega couldn't bounce back like Nintendo or Sony could.Β With the Vita it is the most powerful handheld and has a lot of potential but Sony has done a piss poor job at supporting it and the results are what you are seeing now.

Hmmm yea... it also sounds like sony has more barriers to overcome such as consumer trust.
As someone who bought and supported the vita early on, what do you think they would need to do to gain your trust again?
I haven't bought a vita yet so i guess the damage isn't as bad.
One thing that comes to mind would be something nintendo did for early buyers of the 3ds.
they did some"ambassador" benefits thing where thous who got a 3ds early got free eshop games.

Yeah, lots of great games to the 3ds
And there was the special edition with X/Y out some before, so bought that together with Fire Emblem: Awakening,
Which was like the best game ever xD love this turn based strategy games, even better, there is character paring to see lots of funny conversations
Yeah, handheld should get some more support, but it isn't the "best" graphics, and most players preffer graphic I think ? But then "true gamers" doesn't care about graphics xD it's the gameplay. I'm kind of both :b ehehe xD

yea nintendo have been doing better these days.
LOVED pokemon X/Y and heard lot and lots of great things about fire emblem. glad that game is getting alot of love.
In my opinion i dont think graphics are super important, I mean 3ds isn't very hi-res yet its doing so well, where as vita is almost HD and is doing pretty poorly. BUt yes gameplay and story is what i find most important, and super bonus if the art is awesome.

Yeah, sometimes I can play some "bad" graphics game if the game is well executed with good story / like the genre.
I don't know much about the Vita
Also prolly gonna get Alpha Sapphire when it's out

Yea for sure, there are some interesting stuff concerning the vita, but there not being expained on, which is a shame.
the feature is called "cross play"... i think (maybe google it) its when you can play ps3/4 games on your vita via wifi? (i think) and someone else can watch tv while you use the vita screen.

no have never play a FE game before, but it looks interesting os awakening would be my first as well if i bought it.
For 3ds? hmm i few that I'm looking forward to or have played are, Braverly default, Kirby triple deluxe, the Layton games, animal crossing, I've heard luigi mansion is fun times, and the legend of zelda: link between worlds is a solid game.Β
I actually know a lot of people who share tv's It's mainly for those situations where your playing a game and say for example mom wants to watch a drama, so you just switch your game over to your vita so mom can watch her drama while you continue your game.

Yea fire emblem is doing alot of interesting things. I may borrow it form a friend one day.
I really wanna make games in the future so i need to be open about genres and learn to see what people like about certain games.

one of sonys partner studios is developing a game for it called freedom wars.
but yea still not enough support for the vita.
I very much love the look and feel of the vita, but their aren't enough exclusive games for it.
