Sally had been holding back the tears she had been desperately wanting to cry all evening. This was not the way she wanted to be married - married to a man just for the sake of a kingdom, there was no love in this. This was not the night she had always dreamed of; this was not the man she wanted to see at the end of the aisle.

She had done so well to stay strong, she knew it was the right thing to do.. when suddenly; a presence. His presence..

Sally stopped and turned - almost as instantly as she saw his face did the tears start to flow down her face. "This isn't the way this was supposed to happen!", her thoughts screamed, "It was supposed to be you!!"

Sonic drug himself, he could feel all the weight of his emotions slowing him down. He had never felt this way before - but he had good reason to. Sonic sluggishly worked his way up to the magnificent chapel, where the most celebrated wedding of their time was being held. A marriage that he has dreaded and loathed since his first hearing of it.

Sonic was about to see Sally, the one and only love of his life, marry someone else; someone who was not him. There was nothing he could do.. He opened the doors and there it was - her face. Her beautiful, flawless face tainted by the sorrow of tears that shouldn't be there. Their eyes met, and he silently said, "It should have been me.."

WELP This was based off of one of the archie issues in which Sally marries Evil Antoine in order to save the kingdome (of course she doesn't know he is evil juusstt yet.. ) But in the comic, sonic actually disrupts the wedding and saves the day as always!! This was my little twist on it, makes Sonic seems kinda like a wimp, but whatever, Iv'e been dying to draw it. ENJOY!!
