No need to diss of the author because she was being unique and writing her own creative story, unlike all those other vampire authors who just copy everyone else's ideas. Not that glittering is exactly normal, but it's better than just using the same old ideas that go all the way back to Dracula. Creativity is a good thing, especially in the case of writing a book.
As for the punch line, well, tons of other things can glitter too you know, not just glitter glue. Just because it glitters doesn't mean it would be a vampire. As for the artwork itself, honestly, to me it just looks like something pulled up on paint, because it's pretty much just shapes and boring text font. But that's just my opinion on the case.

Well, the art itself is not something you cheer about, and it is not as funny you think it is. Yes your glitter-glue glitter, but the one trait all vampires (from twi-vamps to the vampires of myths) share is the blood-sucking. Not how they react to the sun.
As an example: In the novel Dracula (and I mean the novel, not the movies that is based on it), Dracula doesn't die by sunlight, he just gets weaker. As you can see not all vampires dies by sunlight. That they sparkle is retarded though, that I can agree on. If only because if they are the "greatest predators" they shouldn't be that easy to detect. Seriously.

Lol! Vampires are NOT supposed to sparkle.. I definitely didn't see Wesley Snipes glittering under the sun in "Blade".. Honestly, twilight is sooo overrated..

Bursting into flames and/or burning is a modern convention that was a product of movies. According to legends, they only lose their powers in the sunlight. Other things about vampires that have changed since legend is that they can be killed with a stake through the heart. In legend, the stake through the heart was only to pin them to their coffins so you could cut off the head. Even the stake being used to pin isn't as old as vampires because historically, mass graves that took the form of pits were more common.
