I only did light shading on the bottom of the container and you are right I should have done more to it. The girl in the container is unaware that her world is contained. The idea was that the snails were flying around and discovered a peculiar container with another world within it. As for a magical or colorful atmosphere I was not going for either of these things. The girls world is bright because in her world the sun is shining on her as she walks through a field. The snail world is not bright because in their world the atmosphere was meant to be more muddy. I hope I have cleared up some confusion for you. I appreciate your critique and will apply your suggestions to future works. Thank you for your response.

interesting concept, love the flying snails
the grass/forest background in the glass looks a bit strange, though, especially since it doesn't reach the bottom. I would have cut the model out and deleted the grass ; )
