Description
Long Way Home is a personal piece that I have been wanting to do for awhile. The singular tree in the distance is symbolic of me and the path is symbolic of the one I have been walking dealing with my autoimmunes. Basically, the point of diagnosis (everything as I knew it changing) and trying to find myself again as someone who lives with two chronic illnesses. I chose to give the tree extra leaves because despite days where I appear fragile... like a tree who loses its leaves I always come back stronger with each passing season. I refuse to let my autoimmunes define me or stand in my way. I may have to live with them, but they will not keep me from achieving my potential and dreams.Anyway, thank you to all of you who view or favourite this piece.

Well visually i really like this piece...and i love how its not in color!! I think everything blends really well (except for the sky/mountains?) But other than that everything fits rather seamlessly, its more like an old photo than a manipulation.
Originality - I've seen a few landscape pieces like this before, but on the other hand this is very different!! Typically people do it in warm colors etc..but i love how this is in B&W!!
Technique - I think the techniques you've used are very good!! The only thing that stands out as needing a little more love is the sky/mountains!! As their further into the distance I feel they should look a little different.. Like the perspectives off?
Impact - I just love how it looks like an old photograph, like you was just taking a nice drive down route 66 and just captured the moment!!e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c… " width="20" height="20" alt="

Well I think this also represents your strength - as this tree has the strength to flourish in such a harsh landscape

This is very beautiful. Until I read that it is a manipulation, I was going to ask you where I could find such a beautiful location..

Thank you for your kind words! In fairness, since it is photographs of locations of Earth manipulated together... I'm sure somewhere on Earth is similar to this. Perhaps the West Coast, USA? Either way, it means a lot you thought it was a pure photograph!
