Description
The group of construction workers and their boss who caught the shrinking virus hid in the forest of grass blades by the worksite, trying to avoid their co-workers boots. The new guy showed up late on his first day asking for the boss, the remaining workers didn’t know where he went but should be back soon. So he walked over to the side of the site and sat down in the grass to wait. The group of tiny men watched in fear as the giant man walked towards them, then he sat down right beside them. They had an opportunity to get his help so they walked up to him, waving their arms and shouting. The man was removing his boots, wishing he had worn socks because his feet already hurt. He noticed something out of the corner of his eye, 6 bugs were jumping around squeaking. The men saw him staring at them and leaning closer to really see them. “You’re not bugs haha you’re little people. I thought that virus was a hoax.” He recognized their outfits, they matched the construction company he just started at. “You all work together right?” He asked. The tiny men were so relieved that he was quick to pick up on all this, they were hesitant because he was a complete stranger to them, they tried shouting the answer. “I can’t hear anything you’re saying but I know you need help.” They all smiled and were ready to be taken to get the latest antidote before anything terrible could happen to them. “Come group together so I can pick you up easily.” The men huddled together in front of him, not caring about the smell coming from his sweaty feet. “I guess the company will be shorthanded now and in need of some workers haha.” He hadn’t moved his hands forward to pick them up but the men chuckled at what he said. “Maybe i can demand more pay if you guys never showed up for the next couple days.” Now the tiny group was getting a bad feeling, their smiles faded. “Or a permanent position for me because you never showed your faces again!” He moved his foot over the group as he looked around, making sure he was alone. Terrified and now panicked, the group started to run seeing the wall of sweaty flesh rise over the area. “Accidents happen, I never noticed you guys at all.” He put his foot down in the grass and twisted in the dirt, squeaking silenced instantly.
