probably one of the kewlest mer pics I have ever seen--most depict them as lustful hotties but this one shows us the original concept of the mer woman in her natural habitat--eating--I LOVE it!

Thanks!! I had already almost finished it, but was second guessing whether or not it was original enough, I guess I needed a few second opinions on the subject.
I think the only thing I added at the last minute was the color gold to brighten it up! I'll post a breakdown soon! XD

This is made of pure awesome. I just can't stop staring *u* I mean omg the scales on the mermaids tail are just insane! Everything about this piece is so wonderfully detailed it's an absolute eye-candy.
Also, I love how she holds the fish as if she's like "I'm not sharing my food with anyone" c:

I love the colors, the composition, the bits of scales out of her mouth. The necklace, the hair, the red fins, the fact that she's not wearing clothes but just....fishy. And the eyes. And everything. Haha.
And this may be me projecting again, but I really love her expression. It seriously changes based on how I focus on it. It's hard to explain, but first I see it as sadness, because of my personal associations. Then the arch of the eyebrows becomes more evident and it's not sad but...I don't even know. I'm not sure how to say it, but "bravo" works XD Every time I look at her I see so many emotions and I have no idea how you did it, and it makes me insanely jealous <3 (well, the rest of the picture does as well, but that's to be expected ;D )
