I feel the guide could almost be something like the Bible or Qur'an. People are often looking to something else to find out whats should be going on inside themselves.
Also Its far to easy getting caught up in planning what to do with our lives that often the programs we wanna watch pass us by. I would like to spend my life channel hopping, if i see something i like i'll watch it, if it doesnt interest me then i'll pass it by. At the end of the day all channels play the same white noise.
