very nice piece. i like his expression of saddnes. i think that many soliders feel like this during rough periods of warfare (but then again, maybe im wrong..).
anyways, the texture is awsome as are the colours.

Man. this way of painting which seems a bit childish at first glance, which you mastered so perfectly, really contrasts the feeling of this whole pic.
the only thing i maybe would try to change is the shadowline in his face, its a bit too harsh for my liking, even if it helps the message. and the white rings around the eyeholes make it a bit flat, i think. maybe it would look better if you tried to make this more 3d. that the eyeholes really look empty. i hope you got me
