As far as I remember I think I just started drawing with a 1px brush, added a little amount of textures, and then worked over the whole piece once again with 1px brushes.
Most images are done this way (at least from that period).

I really admire what you can do with all your linework. I think my hand would break in half trying to do linework like that. Really impressive

I love his concentration! His moon men buddies have some pretty cool hair too... I realy like how you can go between this lovely scratchy style and the cleaner plastic work. It seems appropriate to each piece. very nice work!

great textures, great perspective-you know how sometimes you see a drawing by a child and their naiveness really shines through as something beautiful and pure...something that people often lose as they get older or gets buried by more "important" things....well your work reminds me of a sort of childish naive vision of things (and dont get me wrong i mean this purely as a compliment, i'm not trying to say your work is childish or naive at all, rather that it contains aspects that are reminiscient of a childs wonder at the world)

Yeah it's almost 100% by hand, but from time to time I do use some sort of texture, just to kill the empty "canvas".
