I've been wanting to draw this for my au for flippin' ages... Due to the permanent damage inflicted on Skylor's arms, thanks to the bundle of elements that she's encapsulated, they’d have to be amputated lest they rot. The enhancements don’t support all her elements as the technology is still being developed, but they’re still extremely useful and much preferred over the organic arms that were starting to become a major hindrance in her life.
The other Kai had been dying for a time. He lost both his elemental abilities and a large chunk of motor function. The only way the other Zane could keep him alive was to put him in stasis until he could forge a mechanical body.
And Ronin’s here cause... its cool or smthng idk. I like to think that Morro caused a serious injury to his left arm forcing him to stay behind at the tea shop with Nya, of whom is also recovering from an injury. And the two are just stuck together for awhile to endure each other’s misery and shenanigans.
