Description
AURORUS VARIATIONS! Now based off of ancient species of sauropod! Enjoy!!Also giving credit to for giving the ideas for variations!
------------
Amargasaurus Variation (Purebreed) - A peacable and mild-mannered Pokemon. They lived in far northern regions too cold for most of their prehistoric kin, and thrived in winter forests where there were no predators. As such, they were long-lived and numerous.
Saltasaurus Variation (Rhyperior) - A rough-mannered and territorial Aurorus variation. Its thick, armored hide prevented it from being bothered by hot or cold, so it lived in mountainous regions, in very small groups, or solitary, depending on available provisions.
Plateosaurus Variation (Ampharos) - A docile and inquisitive Aurorus variation. These are one of the most ancient, as they precede the Purebreed variation by several million years. They were bipedal, and used their tail lights to signal to one another.
Diplodicus Variation (Tyranitar) - A reckless, and hot-tempered Aurorus variation. They are highly competitive with each other for resources, and while they are not needlessly aggressive, they can be highly dangerous to any would-be predator attempting to attack them.
Camarasaurus Variation (Meganium) - A tranquil and gregarious Aurorus variation. They lived in large herds of 75 to 100 members. They were considerably smaller than most other Aurorus variations, but protected themselves with a tranquilizing mist emitted from their frill.
Nigersaurus Variation (Bastiodon) - A defensive and hardy Aurorus variation. They have grown an incredibly thick hide, making them mostly safe from predation. They grouped together in such a way as to protect their young from any sort of predator.
Ampelosaurus Variation (Druddigon) - A stoic yet strangely compassionate Aurorus variation. They often make their homes in caves, but invite other smaller Pokemon into their caves for shelter. They are mostly safe from predation thanks to their rough scales.
Shunosaurus Variation (Charizard) - A flamboyant and energetic Aurorus variation. They have a clubbed tail, which acts like a torch to some sort of "aurora fire". How bright the aurora is seems to be an indicator its health, and its attack strength.
Argentinosaurus Variation (Avalugg) - A reserved and patient Aurorus variation. They are the biggest Aurorus variation ever found, and can grow up to 70 ft tall, and 110 ft long. They are rare, solitary, and lead nomadic lives, traveling from place to place to eat.
Europasaurus Variation (Heliolisk) - A fleet-footed and highly alert Aurorus variation. They are the smallest Aurorus variation known, growing only 5 ft tall, and 10 ft long. As a result of island dwarfism. They had many predators, so they defended themselves using Electric-Type attacks.

You're welcome
Ooh boy... Well, Drifloon is one of my faves, as well as Spiritomb. Those could make for variants!

Keystone (Purebreed)
Sarcophagus (Cofagrigus)
Doll (Banette)
Crown (Jellicent)
Chandalier (Chandelure)
Spellbook (Mismagius)
Dead Tree (Trevenant)
That's about all I came up with, but I think I'll come up with more soon!

My favorite is the Camarasaurus variation. It's cute, true to both it's parent pokemon's standard personalities and seems like it would be a fun pokemon to be around. It's peacefulness seems to make it that much more endearing since it'd rather make friends than fight off enemies. Other don't eat it because they don't WANT to. Nobody loses in that situation.

Heh, I like that one too! Looks surprisingly fitting with Meganium, complete with similar personality!
Still, which Pokemon would you be interested in seeing variations of??

Ooh nice! In that case, here are some ideas I have for variants.
Asiatic Lion (Purebreed)
African Lion (Pyroar)
Leopard (Liepard)
Mountain Lion (Persian)
Manul Cat (Purugly)
Tiger (Arcanine)
Snow Leopoard (Absol)
Caracal (Zangoose)
Bay Cat (Delcatty)
Lynx (Jolteon)
That's what I got for now!

I'd love to see pictures for those! They all sound so interesting! Based on the concepts here, I predict my favorite will likely be either the Tiger or Snow Leopard.

Honestly, I would say that the Bastiodon variation is the best one.

Heheh, thanks dude. XD
It's actually based off of Nigersaurus, which on its own is a weird friggin dinosaur. Especially considering it really does have a duckbill face.

AAAAHH I'm in heaven~!
I wouldn't expect they will look so cool! And Avalugg for the biggest one seems like the best choice!
Wonderful work, same as with your previous Pokemon crossbreed variations
This one is definitely my fav, but that's because I always totally loved sauropds and Aurorus beaten even my status rank for Tropius. Or Meganium. Speaking of which, the Camarasaurus based one is so cute AND lovely with those colors~

THANK YA SO MUCH DUDE!
Heh, I think the Camarasaurus is actually one of my favorites too! I really liked taking Meganium's petals, and implementing them into the sail's design. ^^
Admittedly, it is kind of embarassing that I couldn't find a good place to put Tropius in. Although I did enjoy picking some otherwise unorthodox breeding pairs, such as Ampharos!

Weirda-s-M-art In reply to TipsyRa1d3n [2016-07-09 08:10:49 +0000 UTC]
hey, it's all fine there's no Tropius there. Meganium DO FIT for "sails", because its "petal collar" could be like frilled lizard's one, so...same as dwarf Aurorus of yours, it fits pretty well, while Tropius got clearly wings and a diplocoid head which you use already from Tyranitar to focus on its spikes. If you really wanna work on update, you could make Augustinia from Tyranitar and Diplodocus from Tropius, because Diplodocus was one of the less heavy sauropods (many holes in its vertebra bones), but then....Tropius had no tail and nothing that could make those spikes on the back so all in all, you did great job, please don;t be a morbid perfectionst, that's really no good choice, trust me! (I know from myself, it's no good, nothing that good....)

awesome variations on Aurorus!, i love their styles of sails, also Tipsy, do you remember this non-Pokemon creature called Bittercold from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity?, that could be made into a Spacemon instead, what do you think about it?.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TipsyRa1d3n In reply to Xhodocto385 [2016-07-09 06:58:36 +0000 UTC]
I think that if anything, there would be Spacemons derived from the same forces that control the Bittercold, but actually organized and intelligent enough to be considered a Pokemon, because from the looks of things, the Bittercold seems more like an eldritch force of nature!

I really liked doing this Variations chart in particular. My friend helped me choose which possible Pokemon subspecies to make, which was a huge help in figuring out which breeding pairs would make what variation. ^^
